newspaper_article: MARRIED FIFTY YEARS
Mr. and Mrs. JOHN SCHUSTER of Hartford Celebrate Golden Wedding

Mr. and Mrs. JOHN SCHUSTER, residents of the town of Barton since 1853, last Monday celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage, a large number of relatives and friends taking part in the joyful event. In the morning the venerable couple attended high mass in the Catholic church in the village of Barton and there renewed the vows made by them fifty years ago. After the services, the remainder of the day was whiled away very enjoyably in the presence of their children and many friends. Mr. and Mrs. SCHUSTER were born in Bavaria, Germany. They came to America when they were quite young, and were married at St. Lawrence on April 9, 1853. The same year they came to the town of Barton and resided there ever since. They have five children, namely: PHILIP, a prosperous hardware merchant at Chicago; JOSEPH, residing on the homestead; JOHN of Marshfield; PETER of Bakerville; and ANTON of Amanda. Mr. and Mrs. SCHUSTER are still in fairly good health, a condition which, we ho!
pe, will maintain for many years to come.
