F.E. Washbun and wife, of New York, are among the last arrivals at the
Highland House.
Hon. t. D. Burns and family, of Rio Arriba county, are spending a few days
with friends in Santa Fe.
F.M. Donahue, who came here a few weeks ago from Sheldon, Iowa, for his
health, left last night for Kansas City.
Mrs. F.C. Farquaharson, with her children, who has been visiting Mrs. B. H.
Ives for sometime, left the other night for Raton, where her husband has a
position in the Santa Fe shops.
Petere Scheck, who holds a position in Ilfeld Bros.' Big Store, will marry
Miss Emma Foetisch next Wednesday evening. They will take up thier residence
on the Corner of Silver avenue and Arno street.
George Washington Drury, an apprentice in the Atlantic & Pacific railroad
shops, whose birthday coincides with that his his illustrious namesake,
celebrated his twenty-first birthday on February 22.
Capt. Benham and family, who arrived a few days ago from Fort Wingate, have
located themselves at 311 north First Street. It is learned to-day, that the
captain and his estimable wife are so well pleased with the city, that they
are contemplating making Albuquerque thier future home.
About the happiest young gentleman in the city late yesterday afternoon was
Clarence E. Aubright, son of Dr. S.Aubright. At 4:30 p.m. a pretty girl baby
arrived at his home on the Highlands.The Citizen understands that mother and
the little miss, with "PaPa" Clarence on the side, are getting along nicely.
George K. Neher and wife, nee Miss Carrie M. Hunter, married at Denver on
February 17, have returned to the city. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Neher
visited several of the principal cities in Nebraska and the mother of Mr.
Neher at Crete, after which they returned to this city. Mr. Neher
contemplated an extensive wedding trip, but at the last moment postponed such
a pleasure until the coming spring, when he and wife will take in the sights
on a tour through Mexico.
