THIS WEEK IN BUCODA
Mr. and Mrs. John E. SMITH were Centralia visitors Sunday.
H. L. CONINE and son Bobbie were dinner guests of Mr. Conine's
daughter, Mrs. Treva REICHEL of Yelm on Sunday.
Mrs. Dorothy ROHER was a Tacoma visitor over the week end.
Mrs. Thelma VINCENT was a Centralia visitor Sunday.
Robert DAVIES and son Glen were Castle Rock visitors Sunday.
Charles HENSLEY spent the week end in Centralia visiting with
friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter YANTIS and children and Charles and Mrs. John
YANTIS were Kelso visitors on Wednesday.
Mrs. Ida DRAKE returned home Tuesday after spending the last few
days in Seattle visiting with friends.
Miss Lillie CRISMAN was a Tacoma visitor Tuesday.
Mrs. I. A. COLE and Mrs. Luther SMITH are spending a few days in
Frederickson at the James SMITH home.
Jimmy GREEN of Centralia is spending a few days here visiting
with friends.
Mrs. W. E. MILLER entertained the Booster Club at her home on
Tuesday afternoon. A short business meeting was held and refreshments
were served. Those present were Mrs. Anna MORSBACH, Mrs. Ole HAGOES,
Mrs. Herman TEITZ, Mrs Lee MORGAN, Mrs. Felix DeLISLE, Mrs. Jack YANTIS,
Mrs. Tom BARKER, Mrs. M. E. REESE, Mrs. E. F. KRUPP, Mrs. Clarence IMLER,
Mrs. John SMITH, Mrs. Horace DENNISON, Mrs. John GILBERT, Misses Violet
TURNER and Martha TEITZ and the hostess, Mrs. MILLER. The next meeting
will be held at the home of Mrs. Felix DeLISLE.
Mr. and Mrs. W. B. NICHOLS moved to Kalama Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. W. M. HEDGERS and family of Glendale, Oregon, have
moved to Bucoda.
Lon GARLAND, formerly of Lindberg, now of McIntosh, was in town
first of the week visiting his sister, Mrs. F. G. SANFORD and Mrs. J. W.
GILBERT.
Mr. and Mrs. N. D. NICHOLS moved to Kelso Saturday.
Mrs. J. A. STARR spent a few days in Seattle on business first of
the week.
Mr. and Mrs. John DOOTSON and son Thomas of Everett spent the
week end in town visiting with friends and relatives.
Mrs. Robert McALOON was a Centralia shopper Thursday.
H. D. SMITH and son Luther made a business trip to Frederickson
on Monday.
During their absence the home of Lloyd GRABA was entered Friday
afternoon by someone who made a liberal meal on food in the cupboard and
donned Mr. GRABA's new suit and left some old trousers in their place,
also taking a valuable ring.
A Seattle firm is painting several new buildings for the Mutual
Lumber company.
John BORMAN has a new electric sign at his restaurant, The Gem
Cafe.
Mrs. E. E. PEARSALL of Tenino was in town on business Monday.
P. F. KNIGHT and H. D. BRIGGS gave a card party at the Odd
Fellows hall on Wednesday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Earnest BERRYMAN have moved from Skookumchuck Valley
onto the E. MORSBACH farm south of town.
Robert DAVIES made a trip to Mud Bay Saturday clam digging.
Mrs. Harold WHITE and Miss Hilda COOVERT made a trip to Olympia
on Tuesday.
Lester DeLISLE of Portland is visiting at the home of his brother
Felix DeLISLE for a few days.
Mrs. M. E. JOHNSON gave a party at her home Saturday evening in
honor of her daughter, Evelyn's, second birthday.
