Wives and daughters of the survivors of Co. M, Ninth New York Heavy
Artillery, at whose reunion in June the soldiers' monument project was
revived, are to hold an ice cream sociable in Ellicott Hall on Wednesday
evening, August 5th, the proceeds to be given to the monument fund, which on
the last day of July stands as follows:

Warren E. White is the first contributor of his years and is a boy whose
patriotism cannot be questioned. He lives in the western part of this town
and is nine years old. The contribution he makes toward a suitable memorial
for the soldiers of Genesee county is of money which he has earned himself.
