Mrs Rena F. DREW
Wife of Theodore DREW, Jr, of Vernon, died Sat. evening, Feb.
7th at her home. Mrs DREW is survived by herhusband and six
children, by her mother, Mrs Grace (Hamilton) LAWRENCE; by a
sister, Anna, wife of Linn HOCKENBERRY, of Wantage township.
Funeral service were held Weds at the home. Burial was in
North Church cemetery. Mrs DREW was aged 34 years, 7 months
and 6 days.

Sheridan DEPEW
Was found dead last Friday at his home in the Wanatge church
neighborhoos. Mr DEPEW had been in ill health for some time.
He was the son of James and Rosella (BROWN) DEPUE, and is
survived by his wife, who is ill in Port Jervis, NY; by his mother,
and also by a brother and sister, Orville DEPEW and Mrs William
VanAIKEN of Yonkers, NY. Coroner PAUGH, granted a burial permit.
The deceased was 34 years and 8 months. The body has been placed
in the receiving vault at Deckertown Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Jacob M. DEMAREST
Died Tuesday, last week at their home in Brooklyn from pneumonia.
She was the daughter of the late Bradford ARMSTRONG and was
born in Lafayette. She is survived by her husband and children:
Deputy County Clerk, Henry DEMEREST, of Newton; Calvin, of Brooklyn;
Obadiah, of Holyoke, Mass.; Cleveland, of New York City; Mrs.
Henry SEELEY; Mrs Arthur VALCHER and Mrs Albert S. WEBB of Newark.
The funeral was held on Friday last at the home of Obadiah E.
ARMSTRONG in Newton at 2 p.m. Burial in Newton cemetery.

Benjamin VanORDEN
Died Sunday, Feb. 8th, at his home near Central schoolhouse, in
Wantage township aged ?9 (blurred on copy) years 9 months and
15 days. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Ida,
widow of George H. SWARTS; Fred, of Hamburg; Nelson, of
Branchville; Minnie, wife of Charles ROBBINS, Raymond and
Seymour, of Wantage township; Benjamin E. of McAfee; Mrs.
Bert WILLSON, of Lewisburg; Miss Anna, at home. A son Lewis died
Friday, Feb. 6th Funeral services were held this Thurs. afternoon
at 2 p.m. at the house. Rev. A. J. Bliss officiating. Burial was in
the Clove cemetery.

Lewis J. VanORDEN
Died Friday Feb. 6th of bronchial pneumonia at his home
near Central schoolhouse in Wantage township aged 39 years
and 20 days. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Benjamin VanORDEN,
and is survived by his wife before marriage Miss Jennie WILSON,
and two children, Mildred and Dorothy. He is also survived by
his mother and brothers and sisters; Fred, of Hamburg; Nelson
of Branchville; Raymond and Seymour of Wantage township;
Benjamin, of McAfee; Mrs Geo. SWARTS, Mrs Charles ROBBINS
and Mrs Bert WILSON, of Wantage township and Miss Anna
VanORDEN, of Franklin. Funeral services were held Weds.
afternoon 2 p.m. at the house, Rev. A. J. Bliss officiating.
Members of the Wantage Council, Juniior Mechanics, acted
as pallbearers, Mr. VanORDEN having been a member of
that order. Interment was in Fairview cemetery.

Royal H. MOORE, Jr.
Royal H. MOORE, Jr., died on Friday Feb. 6, at his home in
Frankford Plains, NJ after a few days illness of pneumonia.
The deceased was born at Ridgebury, March 31, 1899, a
son of Royal MOORE and the late Mary E. WATKINS MOORE.
He is survived by his wife, Marion, of Frankford Plains; his
father and step-mother, of Middletown, NY; also nine brothers
and sisters, as follows: Mrs C. E. MATHER, of Ridgebury; Mrs.
George R. DECKER, of Pellettown, NJ; Mrs A. B. PALMER, of
Elizabeth, NJ; George H. MOORE, of Pellettown, NJ; Fred
MOORE of Newton, NJ; Mrs W. J. SMITH, of Westtown, NY;
Mrs Judson K. KELLEY, of Pellettown, NJ and Misses Emma
and Isabelle, at home. A brother, Ralph W., died
Nov. 15, 1918, serving his colors in France. Also surviving
are four step-brothers and sister: Jesse FERGUSON, of Endicott,
NY; Harry E. of Branchville, NJ; Frank, of Unionville, NY and
Nellie, at home.
The fuenral services will be held at his late home in
Frankford Plains on Tuesday Feb. 10 at 1 p.m., burial in
Frankford Plains cemetery.

Seth HOCKENBERRY
Died on Weds. at the home of George A. DECKER aged
79 years, 10 months and 19 days. He was a son of Alfred
and Ketura (HOWELL) HOCKENBERRY and was born in New
Jersey. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs Flora DECKER,
of Unionville and one son, Edward, of Wantage township.
His wife died many years ago. He is also survived by two
brothers, Peter W., of Wantage and Floyd, also by one
sister, Mrs. Louis DECKER, of Sussex Boro. The funeral
(private) will take place at the home of his daughter, Mrs
DECKER, on Sunday afternoon, interment in Beemerville
cemetery.

Mrs. Lydia OWENS SPARGO
Widow of James SPARGO, died Weds. at the home of
her son, Benjamin, near Woodbourne, aged eighty-three
years. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs David OWENS
and married first, Samuel PERRY, after whose death she
married second James SPARGO who died several years
ago. She is survived by three children of the first marriage:
Jennie, wife of Zera E. SMITH and Etta wife of Alanson
MAXWELL of Wantage township; Samuel PERRY, of Sussex
Boro and one son, Benjamin SPARGO, of Wantage with
whom she made her home of late years. She is also
survived by a sister, Mrs Arthur DeWITT, of California;
and a brother, Coe OWENS, of Pine City, NY. Mrs Louis
BENJAMIN, who died three years ago was a sister to her.
The funeral arrangements are not fuly completed as we
go to press, but the funeral will take place in undertaker
John O. Westbrook's parlors tomorrow, Sat. afternoon,
interment in Fairview cemetery.
