Information Wanted -- Parkfield, Cal., June 21, 1900 --
Ed. Lance: By giving this a place in your paper you will render a great
kindness to a sorrowing family in far-off Georgia. “A certain old
gentleman, Robert RICH, by name, was reported to have died in Hollister’s
hospital some 15 or 20 years ago…Robert RICH was a man past 70 years of
age. Was about 5 ft. and 7 or 8 inches high. Hair was black, mixed with
gray. Very blue eyes. Scanty beard and was partially deaf.”
Now, if any kind friend remembers any such man, and will communicate with
me at Parkfield, Cal., the kindest thanks will be given.
Respectfully,
Eli LEE
