Yesterday Miss Marian WISE, niece of Senator and Mrs. NEWLANDS, entertained at luncheon for Miss Taft and Miss BARBER, having also among her guests the Misses MEYER, daughters of the Secretary of the navy. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wayne PARKER have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Alice Gordon PARKER, to Mr. Henry M. HOYT, jr., son of the late Solicitor General Henry M.
