Article Title: Mountain Echo
Article Date: May 1 1909
Article Description: Locals: Elsom, Rambo, Rodgers, Mann, Aydelotte, Whitefield, Hartman, Crawford, Cody, Hollenback
Article Text:
Mrs. Abbie Elsom will open up the State Park
Hotel at the Governor's Camp on May 8th. Mrs.
Elsom was in charge there last summer and was a
very popular land-lady.
S. H. Rambo, W. S. Rodgers and H. Mann accompanied
by attorney Aydelotte of Santa Cruz made a trip to
the Whitefield ranch on Ben Lomond mountain Monday,
to appraise the property of that estate.
Supervisor Hartman informs us the report that the
State Park road would not be watered this season
absolutely unfounded. Mr. Crawford will have
charge of the sprinkling this season as he had
last and it insures a good job.
Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Cody, formerly of Ben Lomond,
passed through here Thursday on their way to their
home at Saratoga. Mr. and Mrs. Cody will leave
the first of next month for an extended stay in Old
Mexico.
Conductor "Daisy" Hollenback is now sporting his
new uniform and looks "fine as a fiddle." The
uniform sports four stripes and a star designating
his twney-five years of service. Well "Daisy" here's
hoping you'll make it twenty five more.
