VOGELGESANG, of a daughter. DIED -- at Lancha Plana, on the 28th Dec., inst., Isaac LURCH. MASONIC INSTALLATION -- On Tuesday evening, Dec. 27th, N.B. JENKS, P.M., officiating, the following were installed as officers of Calaveras Lodge No. 78, F.&A.M., for the ensuing year: O.SMITH, W.M. J. BARCLAY, S.W. B.J. LATZ, J.W. J. KERNS, T. Henry LEVY, Sec. R.W. RUSSELL, S.D. Theodore PEYSER, J.D. J.H. WILLIAMS, Tyler PERSONAL -- We were pleased to receive a visit from Messrs. P.A. GALLAGHER and H.A. SHELTON, Representatives elect, prior to their leaving for Sacramento. DAGUERREAN ARTIST -- Mr. S.A. BEATTIE has opened a daguerrean saloon in front of the theater building. Judging from the samples we noticed, he takes most excellent pictures. ROYAL ARCH MASONS -- At a meeting of Calaveras Chapter No. 12, R.A. Masons, held at Murphys on the 21st day of December, 1859, the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: W.H. BARNES, M.E.H.P. R. SENTER, E.K. A.H. PUTNEY, E.S. Lewis WEBER, Secretary J. HEINSDORFF, Treasurer D.L. MULFORD, C. of the H. W. CLARISY, P.S. W.W. STEWART, R.A.C. G. METZ, M. 3 V. G. LEONARD, M. 2 V. S. CRISWELL, M. 1 V. Iry TAYLOR, Guard F. and A. MASONS -- At a meeting of Ophir Lodge No. 33, F.&A. Masons, held at the new Masonic Hall, Murphys, on 22d December, 1859, the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: W.H. BARNES, W.M.
