Wayland Seminary A Large Class Graduates in the Presence of an Immense Audience

The commencement exercises of Wayland Seminary were held last night at the Congregational Church, and the church in consequence was filled to its utmost capacity with an audience composed as largely of white people as colored. The members of the faculty, with FREDERICK DOUGLASS and Rev. Dr. WAYLAND, of Philadelphia, occupied one side of the platform and the graduates the other. A large choir, composed of students, was also in attendance and furnished the music. Brief addresses were made by HARRISON C. BARNETT, JAMES E. ASHBURN, WILLIAM H. CRAWFORD, BANKS L. WRIGHT, AGNES E. W. ROLLINS, JAMES W. HOLMES, SARAH H. HOWELL, HENRY H. WARRING, and LEWIS C. SHEOFER. At their conclusion, Rev. Dr. WAYLAND addressed the graduates and awarded the certificates. Mr. DOUGLASS was then called on an made a brief speech, and the exercises closed with an address by President KING of the Seminary. The graduate are as follows:

Tonight here will be a meeting of the Alumni Association, and on Wednesday night there will be a reunion of the students.
