The question of SOOLEY vs. SULY is very interesting. I believe that they are variations of the same name. But the question is whether or not the SOOLEYS/SULYs in Heart's Desire/Heart's Content/Heart's Delight are connected in any way to the ones up in Trinity, in particular, Elizabeth SOOLEY or SULY, daughter of Daniel John/John Daniel SOOLEY/SULY and Mary. Elizabeth married James Robert PINSENT. I'm a descendant of James and Elizabeth's daughter Jane PINSENT (or PENSON), who married John BAILEY.

If I remember correctly, Seary's Book on Family Names postulates a theory about the SOOLEYS of Heart's Desire,etc. being descended from a Norwegian Whaler who changed his name.
