Hi Folk's
I have received some more transcripts, but they won't likely be posted
this weekend, my father-in-law turns 75 and there are numerous
celebrations planned. I just wanted you to know that we are receiving a
lot of help in the administration and other sorts of ways that will
quicken the process, I have some local people that have contacted me re:
copying and I'll be contacting them so we can work out a system. As
Wayne said in an earlier message we will be accepting monitory donations
and they will be placed in trust, those people will be given credit for
the contributions as well, once we set that page up. He also mention
that if there were more funds than required for this project they will
go towards future projects, this is true. There are a number of projects
that can be done to help put data on-line, but I don't want you to start
thinking, geeze, not more transcribing. This project and the results are
quite staggering, so we are all learning, so when future projects come
up, which by the way many people have suggested some very good ones,
we'll be much more organized and aware of what's involved. I also don't
want people to be intimidated into contributing, this is not something
we all can't spend money on, I know many have more needy things to
invest there hard earned money on. So let's first continue to complete
this project and see what happens then perhaps we can toss around other
ideas later. Again, thanks to one and all for being considerate and
understanding, this will be a great achievement on your part.
Cheers :-)
