Hi Folk's;
Seems everyday I find something on the 1921 census that proves to be a
surprise. Today I was looking at the census for Salmon Cove (St.
George's), although not of great interest to me, I seen the name
RETIEFF, which rang a bell. My cousin Pat (CRANT) CANADY of North
Carolina was trying to locate info on her grandfather in Three Rock
Cove, Bob and her even went there last summer without any luck. It
turned out her grandfather was not born in Three Rock Cove rather Salmon
Cove and all the data for him even the date of immigration was there
(1852 France). I phone and told her and she know has already contacted
newly found cousins she never knew existed. You can imagine this made
her day, are the 1921 census worth the effort, you bet. Just though I'd
share what type of things keep me going at this.
Cheers :-)
