I guess there's no easy way to say this.

For those of you who knew Jean (Porter) Hardy, there is sad news. As
you know, she had cancer and it was only a matter of time. Her strength
and perseverance amazed everyone who visited her and both my husband and
I were at her home most nights. She was being kept as comfortable and
pain-free as possible and that was about all that could be done for
her. Unfortunately her strength gave out about 8:30 this morning and
she has gone to her great reward. Jean died this morning.

My condolences to her family and friends.
