Subject: [NFLD-LAB] William 'Bill' Russell Bay Roberts to Washington State abt. 1899

Greetings Bill, As you probably know by now, Country Path was once
known as the main road leading from Mercer's Cove, Bay Roberts
East into the Woods to the West. Today it extends from the old
railway bed at the west end to the east accross the CB or Brigus
Road, at an intersection beside Powell's supermarket, where the
road continues to the east, and from that point the road is now
called Water Street, Bay Roberts.
Yesterday afternoon, at Victoria B.C., I was given a Studio
photograph of a well dressed handsome man age abt. 25 yrs. The
photo was made, I would guess, about 1900. The man b. 1918, who
possessed the photo, suggested that it could be that of William
'Bill' Russell who accompanied his father from the Bay Roberts
area to the West Coast in the late 1800's. Father Thomas worked
with Bill Russell, for a short time, in the forestry industry of
Northern Washington State, USA. Father Thomas returned to CB, NL
for a period of time and regretted all his life that he lost
contact with his 'good friend', Bill Russell. I am wondering if
you have any suggestions about the possible identity of the

My GG grand parents born in Bay Roberts them moved to Country Path

where the
passed away and believed buried at Coley's Point St. John the
Evangelist
Anglocan Cemetery.
