Subject: [NFLD-LAB] Banton/Branton interest

I am wondering if anyone out there is researching the Banton/Branton
family of Scilly Cove(Winterton), Trinity Bay. I am currently trying
sources to find a date of death (and hopefully age at death) for Gideon
Banton who married Elizabeth Green in 1820. I know he was alive in 1835
since he was listed in the Scilly Cove voter's list and here is a
baptism entry for son Absalom for 1836. He is not listed in the 1864-65
Hutchinson's directory of Scilly Cove, however his son (who was married
about that time) was listed there.

I am assuming he therefore died somewhere between 1836 and 1865. If
anyone out there has any information about this person or the family,
then I would enjoy hearing from you. Thanks.
