Hello Morley,
The Old Methodist Cemetery, White Rock. Is this the little cemetery
that's way up from the road on the turn between what we use to call The
Old Parsonage and Baker's Place. I don't if you are familiar with those
names or not. I lived in White Rock from 1956 until 1965. We use to walk
to Gin Cove to go to school. The school was on what we called Gin Cove
Head across from St. Alban's Anglican Cemetery. My grandmother, Rachel
Louisa Wiseman, my uncle Selby James Wiseman, and my father, Henry
Alfred Wiseman are buried in St. Alban's Anglican Cemetery. I'm starting
to get homesick writing this. I am coming down to Newfoundland in June
of this year. My mother, Elizabeth(Lizzie) Wiseman will be 75 and we are
having a surprise birthday party for her in the hall upon the hill in
Monroe. Mom is living in Mount Pearl with my youngest sister, Marie, who
is married to Kirby Stone, son of Morley and Thelma Stone. Do you know
Hubert Stone, Kirby's brother? As far as I know he is living at Monroe
and he's also working on the Stone Family Tree. Thanks for all the
headstones from the different cemeteries. A couple of times when I was
down to Newfoundland I visited those cemeteries and got some info on my
immediate family. The house that we lived in at White Rock was bought
from Alonzo Frampton. I believe it was Thelma Stone's (Frampton) father.
Daphne
