BAIRD, William Henry - Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex on Wednesday, February 04, 2004, William Henry Baird of Topsail (formerly of Petty Harbour). Predeceased by his wife Jane (Crocker), 1975. Leaving to mourn son David; several nieces and a nephew; also special caregiver Rose Tarrant. Resting at the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home in Kelligrews. Visitation on Thursday and Friday 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Funeral service on Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Evangelist Church, Topsail. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Topsail. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Council of the Blind, Baker Club of St. John`s or to the St. John Evangelist Old Church in Topsail.

DROVER, Wilfred - Passed peacefully away, after a lengthy illness, at St. Clare`s Mercy Hospital on Feb. 3, 2004, Wilfred Drover, of Paradise, age 63 years. Predeceased by daughter Tanya (1993) and his father Joseph (1976). Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife of 44 years, Rosemary (nee Squires); son Wilfred Jr.; daughters: Pam, Donna Power and special son-in-law Dave; beloved grandchildren: Bradley, Tyler, Felicia, Kandice and Jillian; also his mother Sarah Drover; brothers: Wilson, Joseph Jr., Tom (Diane); sisters: Joyce Lynch (Joe), Ruth Horwood (Baxter), Phyllis Drover, Beatrice Marsh (Melvin); mother-in-law Frances Squires (Hoyles Escasoni Complex) & family as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. JANES, Raymond - Passed peacefully away after a long and courageous battle with cancer on February 3, 2004, Raymond Janes, aged 62 years, survived by his loving family. He leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife Freda (Brooks); dearly loved children Barbara and Steven; grandson Nathan; brother Graham (Carole); Uncle Graham Janes (Ruth); as well as many other close relatives and friends. KEARLEY, Lillian May (nee Hibbs) - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in the presence of her loving family on Wednesday, February 04, 2004, Lillian Kearley of Topsail, age 83 years. Predeceased by her husband Harold in 1997 and granddaughter Katherine in 1995. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Donna Adams (Lloyd), Nova Scotia; sons: Gerry (Debbie) and Chris (Margaret); beloved grandchildren: Shane Adams (Kim) of B.C. and Edward Kearley; cherished great-granddaughters: Savanah, twins Brooke and Grace Adams; brother Jack Hibbs (Stella); sisters-in-law: Ruby Hibbs, Frances Tavanor, Mary Gardener (George) and Nel Snow (Fred); brother-in-law Ralph Kearley (Shirley); nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. At Lillian`s request cremation has taken place. O`BRIEN, Evelyn (nee Hickey) - It is with regret that we announce the peaceful passing in the presence of her family and friends at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex on Wednesday, February 4, 2004, of a dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend, Evelyn O`Brien, aged 82 years of Seal Cove, formerly of Holyrood. Predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Ellen Hickey; her infant daughter; her sister-in-law Helen Hickey. Left with fond and loving memories are her devoted and special friend, Carmel St. Croix, Seal Cove; her daughter Doreen Molloy (Phil), Qatar; her grandchildren: Preston (Kerri), Robyn (Dave), Trevor, Ellen and her great-grandchildren; her brother Fred, Holyrood; her niece, her nephews and a circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husbands, Tom Mandeville, 1965 and Sylvester Walsh, 2000; her parents Albert and Ann Lee; her sister Mildred and brother Cyril. Leaving to mourn her sister Theresa Holland; foster daughter Genevieve Gibbons; special God-children: Flora Gibbons and Flora Lee; also a large circle of loved nieces, nephews and other relatives, as well as many dear friends and neighbors.
