BLUNDON - Andrew and Susanne Blundon are proud to announce the birth of their son, Mathias Andrew. Mathias was born on September 8, 2004 at the WHC in St. John's, weighing 5 lb., 1 oz and measuring 47 cm. Proud grandparents are Hedley and Mary Blundon of Topsail and Dave and Rose Ivany of Long Pond and great-grandparents John and Florence Blundon, John and Ida Brazil, Vina Ivany and Gladys Porter. Special thanks to Drs. T. O'Grady and S. Healey and all the nurses and doctors who assisted with the delivery in the caseroom. Very special thanks to the staff of the Janeway NICU for all their care and attention. - 10/30/04

CALLAHAN / HAYES - Patty & Gerard joyfully announce the birth of their son, Kyran, on Sunday, October 17, 2004 at 11:37 a.m. Proudly welcoming Kyran are big brother Liam, and grandparents Bernard & Margaret Callahan of Butlerville and Frank & Margaret Hayes of Brigus. Many thanks to Doctors Bartellas and Cook and the Women's Health Centre case room team, especially Sheila for a marvelous coaching job. COLLETT - Bradley and Sonya (Pottle) of Torbay are very happy to announce the early arrival of their first child, Brayden Stanley, on September 13, 2004, weighing 5 lbs. 8.5 ozs., and measuring 44cm. Anxiously waiting for his arrival were grandparents Stan and Lee Pottle, and Uncle Stanley Pottle of Northern Bay as well as Aunt Leanne Pottle and Cousin Maleaha in Ontario. Also tapping their feet in anticipation were grandparents Bruce and Molly Collett and Aunt Melanie Collett of Grand Falls-Windsor as well as Uncle Blake, Aunt Tammy and Cousin Shane Collett of Clarke's Beach. Sincerest gratitude is expressed to Dr. Johanne Lacelle for a smooth delivery, and the outstanding staff at the Janeway for their assistance in helping Brayden come into the world six weeks earlier than expected. FONTAINE - Dan and Cindy (Hickey) are thrilled to announce the arrival of Grace's baby brother. Jack Patrick was born September 30,2004 weighing 9 lbs 10 oz. Many thanks to Drs. Johanne Lacelle and Joan Crane, also to Regina and Beverly of the case room. Delighted grandparents are David and Josephine Hickey of Outer Cove and Donald and Claudette Fontaine of Grande Digue New Brunswick. Jack is welcomed by aunts Lisa, Cathy and Jeannie and cousins Sam, Luke and David. Aunt Lynne watches from above.
