BRODERICK, Silas Jeffers - Passed peacefully away at home on Wednesday, May
4, 2005, Silas Jeffers Broderick, aged 88 years. (Life member of the United
Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 579; and member of
the L.O.L., Lodge #62, Freshwater, Carbonear). Predeceased by his father and
mother, John and Rosetta Broderick; sister Elizabeth Davis; two brothers:
Joseph and William Broderick. Leaving to mourn his very loving and devoted
wife Pearl (nee Parsons); daughters: Patricia Warren (Ron), Rosetta Smith
(Harry), Carol Parsons (Robert) and Debra Nichol (Gary); grandchildren: Jody
Warren (Lisa), Christopher and Tracy Parsons and Adam Nichol; three
great-grandchildren: Sydney and Brook Warren, and Torsten Parsons;
sister-in-law Frances Broderick; also a number of nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. Visitation to be held from Barrett's Funeral Home,
328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to
be held from Wesley United on Saturday, May 7, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. No flowers

DINN, (Earls) Ellen (nee Monahan) - Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, May
4, 2005 at her daughters residence, surrounded by her loving family, Nellie
Dinn, age 94 years. Predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Earles and William
Dinn; sons: Eddie, Andrew and daughter Theresa. Leaving to mourn her sons:
Brendan, Cyril (Lucy); daughters: Hilda (Job Gillard), Maureen, Gerri (Jim
Thompson) and Bernadine (Joe Murrins); her sister, Sr. Mary Constance,
Boston, Mass.; a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and
great-great-grandchildren; also leaving the Dinn family, Francis, Jerome,
Madonna, Shirley, Barbara and Delores and their families. Resting at Caul's
Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday from 2 p.m. - 10 p.m.
and Friday 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 7, 2005 from St.
Paul's Church at a time to be announced. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. -

HODDINOTT, Muriel - Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family at
St. Luke's Home, on May 3rd following a short illness, Muriel Hoddinott,
aged 94 years. Leaving to mourn her son Jim (Peggy) of Gander; 3
grandchildren: Steve (Marilyn) of Whitby, Ontario, Geoff (Heather) of
Foxtrap and Karen, of St. John's; her 3 great-grandchildren: Alexandra,
Victoria and Sam; brother John J. Young; nephews: Jeff Young and the very
Rev. William Bellamy and niece Beverly Rodriguez; and her sister-in-law:
Mabel Hoddinott, as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at
Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday, May 6th from 10
a.m. - 1 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Friday, May 6th at 1:30 p.m.
from Barrett's Chapel. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest
Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke's Home. The

HUNTER, Georgie Alice - Passed away at the S.A. Glenbrook Lodge on Tuesday,
May 3, 2005, at the age of 99 years, Georgie A., wife of the late Ernest E.
Hunter (1976). Predeceased by son Frank in 2003. Left with loving memories,
daughter E. Douglas Pauls (George), Hubbards, NS; son Edward M. (Edna), St.
John's, NL; daughter-in-law Carol, New Glasgow, NS; 12 grandchildren; 23
great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Resting at Carnell's
Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 5,
2005. Funeral service from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Friday, May 6,
2005 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the General Protestant Cemetery.

NORRIS, Pauline Mary (nee Brien) - Witless Bay. Passed peacefully away at
St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on May 3, 2005, age 86 years.
Predeceased by her husband Leonard; parents Mary and Dennis Brien; sisters:
Bridget, Bernadette, Helen Hillier, Hilda Daniels, DeSales Principe; brother
Michael Brien and daughter-in-law Gertrude Norris. Sadly missed and forever
loved by her children: Leonard (Bernadette Carew), Witless Bay, Mary (Bert
Rahmel), Elginburg, ON, Thomas (Rosemary), Mt. Pearl, Marian (Dave Burley),
St. John's, Roseanne (Wade Parsons), Portugal Cove; grandchildren: Karla
Norris (Bryan Bidgood), Vicki Norris, Witless Bay, Lenore (Kevin Bowes),

SLADE, Neil Llewellyn - Passed peacefully away at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial
Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 of Arnold's Cove in his 75th
year. Predeceased by his mother and father; sisters: Ada and Alice and
brother Morgan. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife
Bessie (nee Brown) of 48 years, formerly of Corner Brook; daughters: Cindy
(Randy Boutcher), St. John's, Kendra, Scarborough, ON and Twila (Colin
Douglas), Mississauga, ON; brothers: Wilson (Ruby), Arnold's Cove, Reg
(Marion), Arnold's Cove and Walt (Jessie), Ajax, ON; grandchildren: Michelle
Boutcher (Fabian), Angela Boutcher (Derrick), Andrew Gagne, Matthew Gagne,
