the Rev. Dr. McCULLOCH, Robert james McMORRIS, Esq., Surgeon, R. N., to Mary
Louisa, only daughter of william WHEATLEY, Esq., St. John's, Newfoundland.
MELLIS - CHANCEY - On Thursday evening the 30th january, by the Rev. T.
HALL, Mr. James O. MELLIS, of Torres, Scotland, to Isabella, fourth daughter
of the late L. CHANCEY of this city.
CLARKE - GREENE - On the 29th September last, at the residence of the
brides father, Seal Islands, Labrador, by the Rev. G. BISHOP, of Battle

GORMAN - HAGEN - On the 6th inst., at the residence of the brides father,
by the Rev. T. McGRATH, Mr. Dennis GORMAN of Burin, to Mary ELIZA, eldest
daughter of Capt. John HAGEN, of the R.M.S. "Tiger".
PARSONS - PITTS - On Thursday last, at the residence of the brides father,
by the Rev. C. LADNER, Mr. Albert PARSONS, to Emily PITTS, eldest daughter
of Mr. Mark PARSONS, both of Harbor Grace.
DEATHS:
KELLIGREW - At Great St. lawrence, on the 19th December last, of
consumption, Anne, daughter of the late Mr. Edward KELLIGREW, aged 21 years.
ANDREWS - On Monday last, George, son of Mr. william ANDREWS aged 27 years.

Rev. T. McGRATH, Laurence PARKER, Esq., of the firm W. & L. PARKER to
Bridget M., daughter of late M. P. FURLONG, both of St. John's.
WALSH - WIGHTON - At the Fort Chapel, Bombay, on the 6th january, by the
Rev., Father COOKS, S. J., R. C. Chaplain, E. WIGHTON, Esq., Lieutenant R.
A. 13th Brigade, to Anna Rose, youngest daughter of the late William WALSH,
of this city.
DEATHS:
MORRIS - At Cuckle's Cove, Trinity bay, on the 24th ult., Capt. James
MORRIS, aged 65 years.
PROWSE - On Wednesday morning, 12th February, at manor Park, Lee, Kent,
Robert PROWSE, Esq., aged 74 years, forty-six of which he spent in this
country.
GILLARD - At Truro, N. S., on wednesday, the 5th inst., of brain fever,
Miss Esther E. GILLARD, in the 20th year of her age.
FLEMING - At Harbor Grace, Riverhead, on the 10th inst., Margaret, the belo
ved wife of Mr. richard FLEMING.
CARROLL - At Carbonear on the 9th inst., Mr. Martin CARROLL, a native of
Queen's County, Ireland, aged 73 years.
DAE - On Saturday last, Bridget, wife of Mr. MichaelDAE.
OLIVER - On Monday evening, after a lingering illness, Mary, the beloved
wife of George T. OLIVER, and eldest daughter of the late Mr. John DEVAN,
aged 22 years.
FRAZER - In the hospital, Charleston, South Carolina, U.S., on the 20th
Nov. of small-pox, William Henry FRAZER, aged 29years, husband of Elizabeth,
third daughter of patrick and Ellen LIDDY, of this city.
HUTCHINGS - On the morning of the 9th current, elizabeth, aged 81, relict
of the late Mr. John HUTCHINGS.

CARROLL - On Saturday, 11th inst., at Bonavista, after a long and painful
illness, which confined him to his bed for a year or more, Thomas CARROLL,
aged 49 years.
SMITH - Yesterday morning, after a protracted illness, in the 64th year of
her age, Dianna A., wife of John W. SMITH, Esq., Manager of the Union Bank
of this city.
SWEETLAND - At Bonavista, April 6th, Samuel, eldest son of Mr. Joseph
SWEETLAND.
MESH - At Bonavista, April 10th, Henry, son of Joseph MESH, aged 24 years.
(I think there is a misprint in the spelling of the name in this next one,
although I don't know which is right)
BLANDFORD - At Greenspond, on the 7th inst., Joseph William, youngest son
of Mr. Darius and Amelia BLANFORD, aged seventeen years.
ENGLISH - At Branch, St. Mary's Bay, after a long and painful illness,
Nicholas, the second son of J. W. ENGLISH, Esq., J. P., in the 34th year of
his age.
HAGERTY - At Brewley, Placentia Bay, in the 77th year of his age, Mr. Hugh
HAGERTY.
DONNELLY - At Harbor Grace, on Tuesday morning last, after a short illness,
Isabella Mary, only daughter of the Hon. W. J. S. DONNELLY, aged 6 years and
9 months.
