ROBAR, Travis Basil
ROBAR, Travis Basil - 41, of Fauxburg, Lunenburg Co.,
passed away Tuesday, February 27,
2001, at Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in
Lunenburg, he was the son of Basil
and Faye (Barkhouse) Robar, Blockhouse. He was a self
employed mechanic, owning and
operating Robar's Auto Salvage and Service Limited,
Fauxburg. He enjoyed attending car shows
and was a member of the Maritime Motorcycle Touring
Association. Surviving are his wife, the
former Beverly Bush; stepsons, David Munroe and Valerie,
Saint Antonie, N.B.; Alex Munroe
and wife Crystal, Maitland; James Munroe and Shannon,
Surrey, B.C.; sisters, Jo-Ann Johnson
and husband Michael, Chester; Debbie Skinner and David,
Donna Silver and husband David, all
of Fauxburg; brothers, Trevor Robar, Oakhill; Arnold Robar
and Karen, New Cornwall; 6
step-grandchildren; grandmother, Una Robar, British
Columbia; aunt, Margaret Shrum; several
nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by grandparents,
Wilbert Robar, Arnold and Hazel
Barkhouse. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in Mahone Funeral Home,
32 Parish Street, Mahone Bay.
Funeral 2 p.m., Friday in Mahone Bay United Baptist
Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Roxanne
McGaw officiating. Burial in New Cornwall Memorial Gardens,
New Cornwall. A reception will
follow in church hall. Family flowers only please, donations
in Travis' memory may be made to the
Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the
charity of your choice.
