HI Moireen,

My records show that on the 29 Nov 1877, at Burnt Hd,C.Bay,NF, Benjamin
CLARKE, bach, of Brigus, marr Jessie TAYLOR, spin of Burnt Hd. This info
from the Burnt Hd CE Marr Reg. I have only one child for this couple:
PANL-St John's CE Cathedral Baps 1879-1898 show that Benjamin, son of
Benjamin and Jessie Naomi TAYLOR, of George St,St John's, NF, was Bap 21
Sep 1889 at St John's. My records also show that a daug Bertha was born
20 Nov 1872, and Bap 17 May 1873 to Jessie TAYLOR; no father's name was
given (source: PANL-Port de Grave-vol 38-CE Baps). All indications are
that this is the same Jessie TAYLOR.I would appreciate any info you
could give me on Jessie's parents and children.

I have been researching the TAYLORS of Burnt Hd/Cupids/Port de Grave
area for many years, since my wife's ancestors came to NDBay from Port
de Grave via Burnt Hd. I think I have traced the line directly to
William TAYLOR b. abt 1765. I would be willing to exchange info with
others researching this line. I am also researching the CLARKES of
NDBay; my maternal grandmother was a CLARK from Twillingate. I believe
the line goes back through Trinity, but there maybe also a through
Conception Bay.
