I have been told that one of my great graandfathers was a very quiet
man who didn't use vulgar language. His expression was : "darn my old socks
and shoes". Can't remember who my mother said this was, I am going to guess
that this was from the Hamilton side of the family, because I have been told
that my Kelly ancestors were not so genteel in their speech, and could cuss
with the best of them.
Interesting about the Holy Mackinaw comment. Two people that I
know who grew up in Quebec use that expression. I had never heard it before
that.
I have been known to say "Lord liftin, creepin dyin, holy Moses"
