DEATHS


WELSHMAN, Frederick Ford Corner Brook, NL It is
with great sadness that the family of the late Fred Welshman announce
his sudden passing on Monday, February 16, 2004 at the age of 34 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories; his good friend Cindy
Simmonds and their children Justin, Kayla and Tyler, all of Corner
Brook, his parents: Calvin Bennett, Mt. Moriah and Carolyn Bennett (her
partner Randy), Curling, Fred's partner Gloria Patey and her son
Michael, Corner Brook, five brothers: Calvin Bennett, ON, Gordon
Bennett and his wife Glenda and their son Bryson, Fort Nelson, BC, Jeff
Bennett and friend Tracey and their son Joshua, Corner Brook, Danny Reid
and family, Dale Reid and family, Spruce Grove, AB, one sister Karen
Rictcher and family, Merritt, BC, grandparents: Cecil and Florence
Bennett, Mt. Moriah, one niece Chelsey Pink, as well as a large circle
of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his
grandparents George and Gladys Welshman, Mt. Moriah. Friends may visit
Fillatre's Funeral Home, 28 Curling Street on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9
p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be
held on Friday, February 20, at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Anglican
Church, Curling, Rev. Ed King officiating. Interment to follow at Mt.
Patricia Cemetery Receiving Chapel. As expressions of sympathy,
donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. The family guest
book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our

SNOOK, Florence Rose (nee Welsh) Trout River, NL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Rose Snook
announce her passing on Sunday, February 15th, 2004 at the Bonne Bay
Hospital in Norris Point at the age of 80. She leaves to mourn with
fond and loving memories, her husband Alexander; daughters: Rowena
(Roger) Parsons, Joy (George) Crocker; grandsons: Fredrick (Lisa)
Parsons, Keith (Viola) Parsons and Kerry Crocker; great grandchildren:
Tanisha and Tristan Parsons; sisters: Sylvia Cullihall and Sarah Decker
as well as a large number of other family and friends. She was
predeceased by her son Gary; sisters: Agnus Payne and Mildred Bennett
and brothers: Gilbert, Israel, Foster and Johnny. Friends visited the
Salvation Army Citadel in Trout River on Monday, February 17th, from
where the funeral service will take place today, Wednesday, February 18
at 2 p.m. with Captains Brandi and Dwayne LeDrew officiating. Interment
will follow the service at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers
donations may be made to the Salvation Army Memorial Fund. To make a
