just reading thru some messages and I am a decendent of the Brake Family
and saw your message...don't know if this is a still a good email address
but for info that I have it is said Jane Matthews was an indian...She was
22 yrs old when she married Ralph and they were married for 24 years. They
lived in the area of Humber Sound...this info above was provided by Ralph
when he was interviewed at the age of 80 yrs.

Ralph Brake was sent to Nfld in 1772 at the age of 12 years from England.
