DEATHS


RYAN, Reginald Robert October 20, 2004 It is with
great sadness that the family of the late Reginald Robert Ryan announce
his passing at his home in Springdale on October 20, 2004 at the age of
80 years. Predeceased by his wife Maisie, parents Clarice and Charles
Richards and adoptive parents Ethel and Bertram Ryan and sister Myrtis.
Left with fond and loving memories are special friend and companion
Betty Best; daughters: Glenys Attwood (Edward) of Corner Brook, Kay
Wheeler (Glenn) of Corner Brook; sons: Robert (Marlyn) of Grande
Prairie, AB, Keith (Lisa) of Grande Prairie, AB. Also leaving to mourn
nine grandchildren: Richard (Krista) and Robert (Lori) Attwood; Ernest,
Ken (Jennifer) and Justin Wheeler; Sandra (Perry) Easton, Janice and
Robert Ryan, Tiffany Ryan and four great grandchildren; special nephew
Jimmy McPeters. Captain Joshua Randell conducted the funeral service
from the Salvation Army Citadel, King's Point on October 23, 2004.
Interment was at the Mount Patricia Cemetery, Corner Brook, NL.
Pallbearers were Calvin McKay, Cecil Young, Pearce Young, Bill Paddock,
Gerald Rideout and Howard Noble. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to
Ken Goodyear and Maude Dormody of Central Funeral Homes Ltd., 57 Little
Bay Road, Springdale, NL.


ROCHE, Sister Edward Mary RSM Entered into eternal life at
the Palliative Care Unit, Leonard A. Miller Centre, October 16, 2004,
Sister Edward Mary Roche, age 84 years. Predeceased by her parents
Francis and Gertrude (Buckle) Roche; brothers: James and Charles; and
sisters: Rita and Gertrude. Leaving to mourn her Congregation, the
Sisters of Mercy, her sisters: Mary Donovan, Camille (Dennis) Bruce,
Teresa (Stan) Tomkins and Assumpta Roche; her brothers Edward and
Francis plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Waked at
McAuley Convent, 250 Waterford Bridge Road, St. John's on Monday,
October 18, 2004 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial was
celebrated on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi
Parish Church, Waterford Bridge Road with interment to follow at
Belvedere Cemetery. May she rest in peace.


RUSSELL, William "Billy" Hillview Avenue, Stephenville
(Formerly of Noels Pond) It is with great sadness that the
family of the late William "Billy" Russell announce his passing at the
Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Thursday, October 21, 2004
at the age of 66 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife,
Linda and four brothers: Vincent Russell of Cambridge, Ontario, Roddy
(Evelyn) Russell of Cold Brook, Gervase (Inez) Russell of Noels Pond,
Ronnie (Carmie) Russell of Stephenville and two sisters: Blanche Dunphy
of Stephenville, Pauline (George) Phillips of St. John's and a large
circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Friends may call at
Russell's Funeral Home, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville on Saturday and
Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Monday,
October 25th at 10:00 a.m. from St. Stephen's Parish, West Street,
Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen
Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers accepted or
donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.


BIRTH


MOSHER Sheldon, Stephanie and Andrew are pleased to
announce the arrival of Jenna Rochel-Ann. Born on Sept. 1, 2004 at WMRH,
weighing 8 lb. 8 oz. Proud grandparents are Florence and Tony Newman,
Jerry Mosher & Linda Foote and Caroline & Terry Payne. Special thank you
to the nursing staff of WMRH, nurse Nancy Perry, Dr. Healey & Dr. Culliton.


INNES It is with great joy that Sheri and Simon Innes
would like to announce the birth of their second child Lucy Rose. Born
July 30, 2004 at Charthers Towers Hospital, Charters Towers, Australia.
Congratulations to Sheri, Simon and now big sister Brianna from Albert,
Iris, and Nancy Mosher of Corner Brook


HAWKINS Laurie and Chris are delighted to announce the
healthy arrival of their son, Owen Christopher on August 15, 2004,
weighing 9 lb. 1 1/2 oz. Proud grandparents are Sharon & Phil Gallant &
Sylvia & Harvey Hawkins. Owen is also welcomed by cousins, Evan and
Claire, Uncle Rob and Aunt Renee, Uncle Jay, Uncle Paul and Aunt Yvonne.


CALLAHAN Born August 10, 2004, to Jerry & Barb Callahan,
Maggie Jane, weighing 8 lb. 3 oz. Proud grandparents are Art and Lois
Callahan of Corner Brook and Jim & Gladys Fitzgerald of George's Lake.
Maggie would like to thank all family and friends for the gifts and well
wishes.


WHITE A very proud sister, Amber, would like to announce
the arrival of her sisters, Rylee Josephine and Sierra Anne. Born
October 4, 2004 at Western Memorial. Proud parents are Delilah Keough
and Jeremy White, grandparents, Mae and Bert Keough of Parsons Pond,
George White and Ruth Locke, Pauline White and Wayne Luscombe and
great-grandmother Mrs. Irene White of Corner Brook.


WEDDING


MARTIN / HANN Irene and Bruce Martin and Kay and Keith
Hann are pleased to announce the marriage of their children Terri and
David. The couple were married in a beautiful ceremony at St. David's
Anglican Church, Pasadena on August 14, 2004 with Rev. Carole Daley
officiating. Maid of honour was Wendy Martin, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Glenda Martin-Barnes, aunt of the bride, Jennifer
Young, cousin of the bride, Wendy Wheaton, friend of the bride and
Corina Colbourne, cousin of the bride. Best man was Dennis Hann, brother
of the groom. Groomsmen were Bobby Davis, Chris Hiscock, Gordie Hiscock,
cousins of the groom and Jamie Wentzell, cousin of the bride. Flower
girl was Brittany Howell, cousin of the bride and ring bearer was
Nicolas Arnold, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Christopher Payne and
Frederick Cutler. A reception was held at the Civic Center, Corner Brook
where friends and family gathered to make this a memorable day. The
happy couple honeymooned in Varadero, Cuba. Terri and David currently
live in Pasadena and they are wished a lifetime of happiness by family
and friends.
