And when Irish MEN couldn't vote or sit on juries or enter the professions in NF, it was because --- women made the rules - NOT??? Were Irish men women - NOT??? Behold a mystery.

It is people in power - male and female - who abuse people without power - male and female. Power is asexual.

Women with power have been nasty too -- Elizabeth I hanged Blessed John for Roach helping a priest escape from prison in London. All he had to do was recant - deny his religion and espouse the C of E. He would not. Because he was a boatman on the Thames, he is now the patron of small boat operators everywhere.

I always used to joke that I hated to wear a neck tie because an ancestor of mine must have been hanged. Since getting in genealogy, I realize there were many of them thus dispatched - Henry VIII and Oliver Cromwell accounted for some, but so did Queen Elizabeth I.

There are other examples, but I hope you see my point :-)

Jim

Cause the rules were made by men, of course!

Women had to be 25, now isn't that interesting. How come men only had to be 21????________________
