I have a Riggs connection in my Reid line (they are also from the Burin
area). I have an Elizabeth Rebecca Reid born 1851 who married a George
Riggs born 1857 and had 5 daughters - Harriet 1884, Charlotte born 1885,
Mary Ann born 1857, Edith born 1889 and Elizabeth born 1890. Their son
Joseph was born 1882. Elizabeth was te sister of my great-grandfather
William Reid who married Sarah Ann
Dicks.
