ARCHER, Bernard Franklyn "Bernie"
ARCHER, Bernard Franklyn "Bernie" - 86, passed away in Halifax on January 1, 2005.
Born in Humbermouth, NL, he was a resident of Halifax since 1938. He was a veteran of
the Second World War, serving five years in the RCAF. He was a member of St. Joseph's
Parish. Bernie was employed at Acadian Lines Ltd. for 47 years, retiring at the age
of 74. His favorite pastime was cribbage, having played with various leagues over the
years. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pat (O'Quinn); son, Jerry (Jeanne);
daughter, Helena (Phil); grandchildren, Megan, Meredith, Karla and David. The family
will receive visitors in J.A. Snow Funeral Home on Windsor Street, Tuesday, January
4, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home on
Wednesday, January 5, at 9:30 a.m. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Family flowers
only. Donations in Bernie's memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova
