BAKER, Andrew- Passed suddenly away in St. John's after a difficult battle of depression on Saturday, January 29th, 2005, Andrew Baker, formerly of Come By Chance in his 32nd year. Left with fond and loving memories parents Llewellyn and Catherine Baker of Come By Chance. Sisters Sharon Slade (Ralph) of Come By Chance, Joann Baker of Fort Pierce, Fl., Nadine Baker of St. John's. Brothers Barry (Sherry) of Come By Chance, Duane of St. John's, Paul (Peggy) of Upper Gullies, Graham (Angela) of Paradise, Michael (Desiree) of Innisfil, ON. Grandmother, Josephine M. Barry of Jerseyside, NL, thirteen nieces and nephews along with a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at St. Paul's Anglican United Church in Come By Chance. Funeral will take place 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2005 at the Anglican United Church in Come By Chance with interment at the Interfaith Cemetery in Come By Chance. DYER, William Francis- William Francis Dyer of St. John's, Newfoundland age 88 years. Leaving to mourn his wife of fifty two years Sophia (Gavin); daughters, Anita Roxanne Dyer, Montreal, Rhonda Greeley (Glen), Portugal Cove; sons, William Thomas Dyer (Anne), Calgary, Thomas Dyer (Candy), Brampton; sister Evelyn Bown, Bell Island and brother: Howard Dyer (Joan), St. John's. Predeceased by his parents Bridget (Hyde) and William Dyer, Bell Island; brother Gerald Dyer (Madeline), Kelligrews. Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Scott and Chelsea Greeley, Portugal Cove, Natasha Dyer, Brampton and great-grandchild Zane Thomas Dyer, Brampton. Bill retired from Newfoundland Hydro after many years of service in the Rural Electrification Area. He was active in the Amateur Radio Community (VO1PY). Remains resting at Caul's Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road. Visitation Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. till 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Thursday, February 3, 2005, at 11 !

MACLAUGHLIN, Edward Aidan- Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Sunday, January 30th, 2005, Aidan MacLaughlin, born on May 21st, 1925 in Dingle, Co. Kerry, Ireland. He came to St. John's, Newfoundland in November, 1953, and practiced radiology in Newfoundland for 50 years. During his medical career he served as Chief of Staff at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, and as Chairman of Radiology and Assistant Dean at the School of Medicine, Memorial University. Predeceased by parents Edward and Anna MacLaughlin, brother Dr. James MacLaughlin of Los Angeles, CA., and by sister Mary Johnson of Dublin, Ireland. Leaving to mourn; his loving wife Ismay; daughters Karen Coates (Conan), St. John's, Deirdre (Cabot), St. John's, Ismay Bligh (Peter), Wolfville, NS; sons Shane, Toronto, ON, James (Patti), Toronto, ON, and Brendan, Vancouver, BC; sisters Dr. Eithne Knowling, St. John's , and Anne Dorey, Southhampton, UK, in-laws Maude MacLaughlin, Los Angeles, CA; Val and Anne B!

Visitation on Monday, January 31st, 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, February 1st, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2005, at 1 p.m. from St. Pius X Church, Smithville Crescent.
