DEATHS
PAYNE, Cecil
Cormack, NL
April 7th, 1920 - January 18th, 2005
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cecil Payne
announce his passing on Tuesday, January 18th, 2005, at the W.M.R.
Hospital in his 84th year. He will be sadly missed by his son Rodney of
Cormack, and his daughter Jane (John Wiseman) also of Cormack; his
sister, Mrs. Edna White of Cox's Cove; his six grandchildren: Michael,
Andrew, Stephanie, Jennifer, Wanda, and Mary. Cecil was predeceased by
his wife Annie in December of 2002. Also leaves to mourn a large circle
of relatives and friends. The family will be receiving family and
friends at the Anglican Church in Cormack on Wednesday, January 19th,
2005 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., where also the funeral service will
take place on January 20th, 2005 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Carol Caley
officiating, with the interment to follow at Church Cemetery, Cormack.
In lieu of flowers donations to Heart and Stroke Fund would be
gratefully accepted. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of
Parsons Funeral Home, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Randy Park announce
his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, January
16, 2005. Randy leaves to mourn his loving wife and best friend Dorothy
(Daye) and his brothers and sisters: Joan Fisher (Art), Jerry (Dolores),
Rod (Donna) all of Corner Brook, Marg Pumphrey (Tom) of Manuels, Mary
Russell (Jim), Don Marks all of Nova Scotia, Carol (Cap) Crossley
(John), Paul, Harry (Joanne) and Julie Pierik (Paul) all of Ontario;
special sister-in-law Gertrude Daye; favorite aunt Carrie Whelan; and
many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by hs parents
Roy (1984) and Ann (Marks) (1989). Cremation has taken place. Visitation
will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on
Wednesday, January 19, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a service of
remembrance at 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Randy's wish was to have
donations forwarded to the Cancer Centre, Western Region, 4th Floor,
Western Memorial Regional Hospital. The family guest book may be signed

HOFFE, Nina Jessie

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nina Hoffe
announces her passing at the J.I. O'Connell Centre on Tuesday, January
18, 2005 at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and
loving memories her husband of 51 years, Eric, and good friends and
caregivers Todd and Karen Pynn and family. She was predeceased by her
parents Francis and Jessie Gosse; sisters: Blanche Russell and Violet
Mosdale; and brother Wilford Gosse. Visitation will be held at Country
Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 from
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at St. John the
Evangelist Cathedral on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with The
Very Rev. Lorne Gosse officiating. Flowers gratefully accepted or
donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. Funeral arrangements
