Cape Breton Deaths January 20, 2006 Friday




Lillian Boyd 84, DOMINION Is with great sadness that we, the family
announce the passing of their mother, Lillian Mae Boyd in her 84th year, of
47 Mitchell Ave., Dominion, Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, at the Cape Breton
Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Salmon Cove, N.L., Lillian was the
daughter of the late William and Jillian (Parsons) Vaters. Lillian was a
registered nurse and worked for many
years for MacGillivray Guest Home in Sydney. She was the loving mother of
Allister, Harold, Fred and Donnie. She will be much missed by her brothers,
Clarence and Ralph; sisters, Geraldine, Ann and Fern; 12 grandchildren and
16 greatgrandchildren. Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her
first
husband, Kenneth Taylor and her second husband, Douglas Boyd, son, David,
daughter, Ethel and sister, Viola. Visitation for the late Lillian Boyd
will be held Friday, Jan. 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home
and Chapel,
71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849- 7520. Funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 21
in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Eric Lynk officiating.
Interment will take place at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Donations in Lillian's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
