DEATHS


YOUNG, Lloyd Theodore Jr. “Lloydie”
Heatherton, NL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lloyd Young Jr.
announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, March 21st, 2006 at his family
residence in Heatherton, at the age of 23 years. Lloyd was an
inspiration to us all, especially with his high five’s and that
unforgettable smile. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories:
mother Elsie, Heatherton; sisters: Maria (Paul) McDermit, Fort McMurray,
AB, Melissa, St. John’s, Nicole (Rick) Canning, Heatherton, Michelle,
Heatherton; niece Brandy, Heatherton; nephews: Jacob, Heatherton and
Gabriel, Fort McMurray, AB, as well as a large circle of other relatives
and friends. He was predeceased by his father Lloyd Sr. in 1998. Friends
may visit St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Heatherton, Thursday 2-4
and 7-9 p.m. and Friday 10-12 noon, from where the Funeral Mass will
take place on Friday, March 24th at 2:00 p.m., Father Terry Boland
officiating. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. As
expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Spina Bifida

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Benedict Hackett
announce his passing on Monday, March 20th, 2006 at the Interfaith Home,
Corner Brook, at the age of 79. He will be sadly missed by his ten
children: Ramona Cassellman (Ian), Cambridge, ON, Geneva Hackett,
Benoit's Cove, Helen Hackett (Don), Oshawa, ON, Jackie Good (Randy),
Niagara Falls, ON, Brenda Andrews (Chris), Beeton, ON, Bennie Hackett
(Valerie), Whitby, ON, Maureen Hunt (Warrick), Mount Moriah, Glenn
Hackett (Jennifer), Orangeville, ON, Stacey Hackett (Al), Alliston, ON
and Louise House (kirk), Woods Harbour, NS; 22 grandchildren: Jaime,
Nick, Rodney, Grant, Charles, Adam, Jeremy, Jacob, Blake, Ryan,
Mitchell, Lauren, Giselle, Alicia, Sarah, Melena, Maggie, Cahley, Evan,
Alana, Jayden, Kira; sisters: Francis Pennell, Veronica Green (Harold),
Bride Greene (Ron); two sisters-in-law: Francis Hackett, Noreen Hackett;
brother-in-law Bazil Noseworthy, as well as a large number of nieces,
nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Cedella
Hackett, June 30, 2000, parents: William and Maryanne Hackett, sister
Dorothy Quigley, brothers: Raymond & Patrick. The funeral mass will be
held Friday, March 24th at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady Star of the Sea,
Roman Catholic Church, Benoit's Cove, followed by the interment at the
church cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling
Street Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As
expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial
donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. The family guest book

SHEPPARD, Nina Grace
Corner Brook, NL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nina Sheppard
announces her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on
Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at the age of 81 years. She leaves to mourn
with fond and loving memories, daughters: Ruby (Bob) Martin and Effie
Quinton; son, David (Phyllis) Sheppard all of Corner Brook;
grandchildren: Tanna Martin, Lori (Baron) Suley, Holly (Don) Orr, Laura
(Dan) Hammon, Sherry (Scott) Summers, Kelly (Darrel) Palmer, Trent
(Heidi) Quinton, David (Anita) Quinton, Levi (Theresa) Quinton, May
(Peter) Kirouac, Lorraine (Jullian) Russell, Angela (Greg) Walden, and
Tracy Sheppard; 33 great grandchildren; sister, Violet Barry and a large
number of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her
husband, Harold; parents, Wesley & Mary Anstey; step-mother, Laura
Anstey; sons: Gerald and Russell; granddaughter, Laura Sheppard; and
son-in-law, Gordon Quinton. The family will be receiving friends at
Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday, March 23, 2006
from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Friday, March
24, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Major
Cooper officiating. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Lark Harbour. As
expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation or the Mental Health Association. The family guestbook can be
