SPARKES, Walter Russell
November 16th, 1941 - March 21st, 2006
Rocky Harbour, NL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Walter Russell
Sparkes announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, March 21st, 2006 at the
Bonne Bay Health Centre, in his 54th year. He will be sadly missed by
his loving wife Doris (nee Rideout); three children: Shawn of Rocky
Harbour, Trina (Perry) and April (Bill) both of Brampton, Ontario; three
grandchildren: Victoria, Scott and William; his mother-in-law Mrs. Rita
Rideout of Rocky Harbour; his brothers and sisters: Dorothy Poole,
George, Otto (Barbara) of Rocky Harbour, Ivy Anstey, Violet Sparkes,
Fred (Betty) of Brampton Ontario, Pearl (Gunther) of Burlington, Ontario
and one sister-in-law Marie Sparkes of Mississauga, Ontario; sisters and
brothers-in-law: Delliah (Max), George (Wendy), Dorothy (Robert), Marion
(Perry), Irving (Marion), Darlene (Chuck), Lyndon (Marie), Glen (Mona),
Paul (Kim), Clara (Jamie), Jim; one sister-in-law Pansy Rideout. He was
predeceased by his parents Agustus and Jane Sparkes, brothers: Jimmy,
Howard, Rodger, brothers-in-law: Gilbert Poole, David Anstey and Carl
Pittman and father-in-law Leslie Rideout and his brother-in-law Wilson
Rideout. He will also be missed by a large circle of nieces, nephews,
friends and relatives. The family will be receiving family and friends
from the St. Matthews Anglican Church in Rocky Harbour on Thursday,
March 23rd, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday, March 24th, 2006 from
2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where also the funeral service will take place from on
Saturday, March 25th, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Snow officiating with
the interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery in Rocky Harbour.
The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral
Home, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL.

June 26th, 1920 - March 22nd, 2006
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harvey Hann
announce his passing on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2006 at the Western
Memorial Regional Hospital in his 85th year. He will be sadly missed by
his loving wife Mary Stella (nee Crocker); his children: Lloyd of Trout
River, Mary (Hughie) Brake of Brampton, Violet (Allan) of Alberta,
Charles of Edmonton, Diane (Ralph) George of Kingston, Robert (Jenny) of
Brampton, John (Darlene) of Hillsburgh, Junior (Joanne) of Brampton, Eva
(Brian) Feriera of Alliston, Ontario and Roxanne (Scott) Taylor of
Brampton; 22 grandchildren: Nicole, Michael, Torry (Lance), Dawn, Chuck,
Glenn, Twila, Joshua, Nathan, Jacob, Mitchell, Celeste, Traverse,
Melissa, Amanda, Samantha, Joshua, Cameron, Rebecca, Kristen, Matthew
and Riley; one sister Genieve (Algon) Brake of Trout River and one
sister-in-law Mae Hann of Trout River. Also a large circle of nieces,
nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents
William and Bessie, brothers: Robert and Samuel and sister Violet.
Visitation will take place from the Salvation Army Church in Trout River
today, Friday and Saturday, where also funeral service will take place
on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the family plot.
Flowers or donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly
accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home,
63 North Main Street, Deer Lake.
