NEIL, Mabel- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on
Sunday, April 12, 2009. Mabel Neil of Spaniard's Bay, age 92 years.
Predeceased by her husband Samuel; daughter Elizabeth; grandchild Rosemary;
brother Jack Smith (Wife Mary) and Eric Smith; sons-in-law: James Lewis,
Herb Jones, Robert Crane; daughter-in-law: Elsie Neil. Left with fond and
loving memories her sons: Chesley Neil, Spaniard's Bay, Wilfred Neil (Mary),
Clarke's Beach, Herman Neil (Betty), St. John's; Bill Neil (Gen), Bay
Roberts; Gerald Neil (Robin), Spaniard's Bay; son-in-law: Edward Bishop,
Upper Island Cove; daughters: Helen Lewis, Colliers, Marie Jones, Spaniard's
Bay, Eileen Crane, Tilton; brother: Lewis Smith (Barb), Paradise;
sister-in-law: Jenny Smith, Kilbride; 33 grandchildren, 44
great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; special niece Sylvia
Barrett; special friend Violet Noseworthy and a large circle of other
relatives and friends. Resting at Young's Funeral Home, Spaniard's Bay. The
funeral service took place on Wednesday, April 15, at Holy Redeemer Anglican
Church with interment to follow at Green Head Cemetery, Spaniard's Bay. In
her memory flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Heart &
Stroke Foundation.

PARSONS, Bridget Patricia - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General
Hospital on April 20, 2009. Bridget Parsons of Bryant's Cove, age 76 years.
Predeceased by husband Jacob Parsons (Gade); parents: William and Mary Alice
Byrne; sisters: Helen Hutchings and Christine Byrne; brother: Ronald. Left
with fond and loving memories her sons: Lawrence Byrne, Kitchener, ON, Wayne
(Melanie) Byrne, Roaches Line, Herb Byrne, Alberta, James (Rhonda) Byrne,
St. John's; daughters: Daphne (Kevin) McCarthy; St. John's, Julia (Gerald)

Alberta, Susan (Terry) Sheppard, Harbour Grace, Phyllis Hearn (Derrick

of relatives and friends. Resting at Hussey's Funeral Home, Upper Island
Cove. The funeral service took place on Saturday, April 25 at St. Andrew's
Anglican Church followed with interment at St. Andrew's Anglican Cemetery,
Bryant's Cove. In her memory flowers are not accepted but donations may be
made to the St. Andrew's Anglican Church.

SOPER, Rachel W. (nee Trickett) - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour
Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, Rachel W. Soper
(nee Trickett) of Carbonear, age 91 years. Predeceased by husband: William
W. and brother: Warrick. Left to mourn, one daughter: June (Rex) Cotter,
Carbonear; three sons: David (Linda), Burlington, ON, Ernest (Nancy)
Fredericton, NB and William 'Bill' (Jane), Labrador City; eight
grandchildren: Heather (Roger), Robert (Carol Ann), Michael, June (Scott),
Lisa (Mark), Mark, Matthew and Katie; seven great-grandchildren: Nathan,
Stephen, Rachael, Britany, Sharon, Sebastian and Eathan; two sisters: Minnie
Burt, Masonic Park, St. John's and Doris Diamond, St. Luke's Home, St.
John's; sisters-in-law: Marion Trickett, Brigus and Lillian Babb, Harbour
Grace; brothers-in-law: Charles (Winnie) Soper, Carbonear, Ken (Marjorie)

Rev. Stephen Matthews conducted the funeral service on Saturday, April 25 at
Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment took place in the Interfaith
Cemetery, Carbonear. Donations in her memory may be made to the Trinity
Conception Shriners' Patient Transportation Fund. Funeral arrangement were
