Marcia Huntley Maloney here. Many of those names are connected to me.
Additionally, my sister who was a Huntley of Langdon is married to Jim
Strickland of Marlow. Jimmy's grandfather was Bertram Strickland. I have
several Spaulding lines as well. My Russell ancestors were from Washington.

her furnishing we had shipped to our home in California.

though I am not certain of this. I have transcribed the names as they appear

handwriting is fabulously clear, corrections & addtions in transcribing
would be most appreciated.

> Intro: In 1986 I came by a couple of quilts previously owned by George
Elmer Spaulding, Sr. and wife Ella (Nichols) Spaulding. One quilt is dated
1891 while the other is dated 1893 (a "Crazy Quilt"). The 1891 quilt has
names written on each of the 4 solid white pieces that form a block, with
names appearing on each of these white blocks (usually). There seems to be
approximately 180 names listed on this quilt. Some names appear to be
written by the actual individuals. Note there appear to be no periods
following prefix to names such as Mr, Mrs, Dea, Rev, Dr, etc. Many names
are followed by a period so I have transcribes as such, though I have no
information as to its relevance. It appears as if some families have grouped
together to form these sqares. The various sqares have been framed by a row
of red material.
