The following was written by Joseph G. Hester. It is believed the families
listed really 'melted' into the white society of Ga and AL to avoid going
west. Hope it is of help to some. Jackie in NC

"The forty seven persons whose names are given on this sheet could not be
found by me, although I made diigent inquiry regarding them: nor did any of
the tribe or their immediate friends know where they were, or what had become
of them, but reported to me that they believed them to have either died or
gone West to Indian Territory to reside, or that they are now known and
enrolled by me under new names. "
