Have just begun my search for ancestry... Have run across, on my dad's side,
the names of Brister, Bass, Smith, McGlothin and Peavy (both on my paternal
grandmother's side)... Any information, names, linking these names will be
appreciated... The Brister's seem to have come primarily to Louisiana through
Mississippi where they married daughters from the Smith (MS?) and Bass
(Rapides Parish) families... Not certain of the McGlothin origins (Benjamin
(?) McGlothin immigrated throught the Port of New Orleans(?)) before they
(Cora) married into the Peavy family... Any information will be
appreciated.... Guy Brister
