James Spence came to this country from N orthern Ireland sometime after
1780. He married Martha Bell in Ireland, their first son was born there,
the second son was born aboard ship on the way to the USA>
They settled first in lower Westmoreland County, Mount Pleasant Twnsp.
He was warranted 150 acres of land in Armstrong Twnsp. . There were 6 more
children after they settled in Pa.
Alexander McNaughton came from Scotland.
John Agnew born 1774-1831 married Rebecca Smith -they had two children.
John Agnew 2nd , he married Margaret McNaugton. & James F. Agnew,
married Susan-----1805 her birth James birth date-b 1803-d 1878
