I am researching the Donaghy's of Northern Ireland. My Great grandfather was William Donaghy. I know he was born abt. 1875 and came to the U.S. in 1904. I know he was from County Tyrone, the townland listed on the Ship manifest was Grange. I'm Just not positive of what Parish. I think it is the Parish of Clonfeacle, because when he came to the U.S. he was traveling with Peter Harvey b. May 30 1889 and married Peters Sister Kathryn (Catherine) Harvey abt. 1907, and she listed her townland as Moy, which is in the Parish of Clonfeacle. The name was Americanized or changed prior to the 1910 census to Donohoe and then to Donahue by 1930. They lived on 2nd Street in Philadelphia, PA for at
least the next 40 years.
But, I do not have any further / Prior information on William Donaghy (Donahue) or Peter and Kathryn (Catherine) Harvey, other than, all three listed Bernard Harvey (uncle and friend) as their contact in America (Philadelphia). I would love to find the names of their parents and if there were any more siblings. Could this (Uncle) Bernard Harvey be the one you listed? The 1900 U.S. census lists his birth date as abt. 1849.
