I am a descendent of this couple who are in the 1901 census as follows
Daniel Gilbraith age 32 Farm Labourer he was born 03 December 1865
in glendermot father Daniel Galbraith mother Jane Macauley
Matilda Gilbraith age 33 she was born Matilda Donaghey 13 November 1865 in
Glendermott father James Donaghey mother Mary Jane Mitchell
They had the following children Eliza age 11, William age 9, Josephen age 8
this is my grandmother and her
actual birth cert gives her name as Joeina Chapman Galbraith 11 February
1893,
Lavina age 7, Maggie age 4 Daniel signed his name
In the 1911 Census
Daniel Galbraith age 50 Occupation General Labourer
Matilda Galbraith age 43 beside this entry it has married 23 years 10
children born alive 8 living
William J Galbraith age 19 Occupation Gardner
Livinia Galbraith age 17 Occupation Shirt Cutter Factory
Maggie A Galbraith age 14
Emily Galbraith age 8 Matilda Galbraith age 8 (these may be twins)
Stewart Galbraith age 6
Daniel signed his name
Jane Macauley who married Daniel Galbratih 15/05/1857 in the registrars
office Londonderry. This couple are the above mentioned Daniels Parents.
On the marriage record her names spelt McColley and that's how she signed
it.
She gives her father as William McColley they both give there age as full
age. They give there residence at the time of marriage ardlough.
I have found a marriage for a William Mcauley & Jane Cransie in Balleymoney
and some children they had from 1813 - 1819
I am interested in a son they had William who was christened 29/05/1819 as I
think this may be Janes father
Can any one help me in finding a birth record for Jane & Daniel.
A marriage record for William which I am assuming to be around 1835-1840
Or either Jane & Daniel on a census prior to 1901 or if lucky enough Janes
Father William on a census.
Even in finding Matilda's parents James Donaghey and Mary Jane Mitchell
would be great.
Any help you kind people can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Robyn
