Joan & Kathy
I am just going to correct myself, the MILLENs I saw in the Griffiths
search were in yet another Ballinrees, in the parish of Formoyle. That
makes 3 Ballinrees townlands in Derry/Londonderry.

Joan (and Kathy)
Kathy has mentioned a townland of Ballinrees that is different from the
one I know of. If you use the website that Kathy gave you, but click on
number 26 (Dunboe) you see that there is another Ballinrees. I know this
because, as a teenager, I used to go to the reservoir at Ballinrees to
catch trout (unsuccessfully I might say!!!). Ballinrees is on the
scarily named "Murder Hole Road", which is the back road from Coleraine
to Limavady.
You can always check how many & where townlands are at:
http://www.seanruad.com/
As for checking out Griffiths Valuation, search:
http://www.myirishancestry.com/index.php/plain/griffiths
I did a quick search for MILLIM but got no results.
There are however a James MILLEN and a Thomas MILLEN in the townland of
Ballinrees!!!
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Richard

I sent this yesterday, but got a system error message that it was not
delivered. I am fairly sure it didn't go out because I didn't see it on
the list, so here it is again. Sorry if it's a duplicate. -
Joan,
If I am not mistaken, Ballinrees is in the parish of Aghadowey. If you
can, go to this link -
http://scripts.ireland.com/ancestor/fuses/civilparish/index.cfm?fuseacti
on=GetMap&CityCounty=derry
Click on Aghadowey and you will see a list of resources that exist for
the parish. This is the link to the page that should come up, but it may
not work, so try the one above if the one below doesn't work -
http://scripts.ireland.com/ancestor/fuses/townlands/index.cfm?fuseaction
=TownlandsInCivil&civilparishid=699&civilparish=Aghadowey&citycounty=der
ry
I have found the resources on this site to be very helpful.
