I have John POLLEY who left Ireland (could be Northern Ireland) to enter
Canada by 1819. He then petitioned to have his land grant changed to
another township in order to accommodate relations he expected to arrive
from Ireland. Within a few years the POLLEY family was affiliated with
the CAVEN family which emigrated from County Down in the early 1820's.
I'd like to find out whether they may have been affiliated in Ireland,
but in order to do that I have to locate POLLEY. Does anyone know of
POLLEY in County Down before 1820? Please contact direct. Thanks.
