Hello,
through Church records from Hilltown and death certificates in the US, I have
found information on the following people. I would love to share information
and would welcome any new information on any of these families.

Samuel BROWN/BROWNE baptised 1 January 1787 age 1 day son of James BROWN
weaver abd Margaret (formerly ROSS) married Nancy/Agnes WEIR--she died by
1860. Samuel died in Philadelphia PA, USA 1884.

I have proven 4 children of Samuel and his wife Agnes/Nancy WEIR:
Sarah BROWN born 1823 died Philadelphia PA, USA 1908 unmarried

Samuel BROWN born 1830 died Philadelphia PA, USA 1923 unmarried

Walsh BROWNE --from the record "baptised 8 February 1935 son of Samuel and
Nancy BROWN Lisnamulligan, Weaver." Walsh stayed in Ireland and married
Agnes/Nancy KEAN/KANE in 1859. She died in 1893, he died in Castlewellan in
1915. The various places they lived as recorded on their children's baptismal
records are Cavan, Drumnascamph, Cross and Castlewellan (in that order).

Isaac BROWN born 1826 married Barbara HAMILTON. She was born abt 1828-30 and
was the daughter of Samuel HAMILTON and Bessie MCGAW. Isaac was of Cavan at
the time of their marriage in 1849, she was of Drumnascamph.. As far as I
know they had one child in Ireland before coming to the US in 1852--Janette
BROWN born May 16 1850 in Drumnascamph. Janette died before they left
Ireland, they had 9 or 10 children in the US.
I know I am missing children for Samuel and Agnes/Nancy. There are MANY
Brown family members who came to stay with Isaac and Barbara in Philadelphia
while they got settled in the USA. I have not yet been able to tie them to
parents. My Browne line stayed in Ireland an extra generation--they kept the
final "e", the earlier Brown immigrants did not.
Thank you.
