Bonnie,
I have been keeping an eye on your emails recently to see if I could help in
any way. I'm getting very frustrated with the way you throw out an
incomplete snippet of information without giving a date or your record
source for that information. That makes it practically impossible to help!
For instance, you found a John Bell who lived in Downpatrick. When? Which
record did you find it in? There have been dozens of John Bells in
Downpatrick and district over the last 150 years! In your previous emails
you mention a couple in Killyleagh. What are the dates and sources of your
information?
If I knew that I could perhaps work out where to look next. I'm sure there
are others out there who would like to help too. Remember, you may have a
very good picture in your head of what you are after. All we have is what
you put in your emails.
I hope to visit the PRONI in Belfast tomorrow (Friday 4th May). Try to get
back to me as soon as you can with some dates and which records you have
already looked at and I'll try to help.
Billy.

now what can I do with this information (locally) to see if he is the right
one?
