There are three good sources of information to locate townlands in Ireland:
* http://seanruad.com/ is the IreAtlas Townland Database (search engine)
* http://www.ireland.com/ancestor/ and click on "Placenames" (search engine)
* http://proni.nics.gov.uk/geogindx/geogindx.htm (geographical index for the
counties of Northern Ireland)
