Hi kate, I know you didn't ask for sympathy messages but your getting one from me anyways. My father passed away in 1969 when I was just 18 years old and has been gone longer now than when I knew him but his memory never fades. There was a song written and sung years ago called "My Dad" by Paul Peterson that went
"He isn't much in the eyes of the world
He'll never make history
No he is much in the eyes of the world
But he is the world to me
My Dad"
I don't know if you could still get a copy of this song but it is really worth trying as it is so beautiful.
Please accept my deepest sympathies and walk proudly that you knew him.

He was known as Geoff and as well as working for the English Electric and having various other jobs he and my Mum had three pubs in Liverpool: The Lobster in Croxteth, The Angel Vaults in Stanhope Street, Liverpool 8 and The Farnworth Arms on Kensington.
