Well, I just found information about the family of my gggMa on the web
yesterday. Her oldest child was born in 1804 and the last was born in 1830.
(She had 14.) No birth or death year for her--but not too hard to guess
with that spread.

The spread between your Jane and the younger Thomas is actually slightly
less than the spread among my gggma's siblings. If the first Thomas and
Elizabeth died, who better to raise the baby than big brother and his wife?

I am new to this list and was wondering if anyone might be able to help me
find
some information on my gg grandmother.

Jane DAVIDSON was born about 1803 (based on her age on her death
certificate) in
Dromore to Thomas DAVIDSON and Elizabeth (?). At some stage the family
moved to
Scotland, and I have found Thomas, Elizabeth and Jane in the 1841 census of
Wigtownshire, SCT. She married in 1843 and died in 1891 in Wigtownshire.
On
her death certificate it lists her parents as Thomas DAVIDSON and Elizabeth
WILSON. However, I also found the death certificate for Thomas DAVIDSON who
died in Wigtownshire in 1876 aged 98, which would mean he was born about
1778,
and his parents are also listed as Thomas DAVIDSON and Elizabeth WILSON. I
found a marriage for a Thomas DAVIDSON and Elizabeth BELL in Dromore in 1806
which I think could be Jane's parents, but I was hoping that someone might
be
researching this family, or advise me as to where I could find information
on
them.
