I am looking for information about my great great grandfather William
McWilliams, born c1815. He married Susan Stringer (born c1809) in 1835 at
the Church of Ireland in Caledon and they lived at Kilsampson. They had
2 children John and William (born 1836 and 1838) who were christened in the
same church. The family came to Australia in 1839 and settled on the land
around Liverpool in N.S.W.
On William's death certificate it states his parents as William and Mary
(nee Johnston) and on Susan's death certificate it states her parents as
William and Susan (nee Holmes). It would be much appreciated if anyone had
any information regarding the McWilliams and/or Stringer families in Tyrone
around the turn of the 19th century. (or more recently)
